Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) held a 5k Turkey Trot last month to benefit the Southern Maryland Food Bank. More than 200 CCPS employees participated in the run and helped raise more than $5,000. On Dec. 5, Brenda DiCarlo, director of the Southern Maryland Food Bank, right, accepted the donation from Superintendent of Schools Kimberly A. Hill, and Hill’s executive assistant, Debbie Iverson, who coordinated the event.
