It has been ten weeks of Restaurant Revisits and this week I am checking in with two more of my favorite restaurants. Both are in Calvert County, one in Prince Frederick and one in North Beach. I am providing links to the articles I wrote on these establishments in the last year, and I am letting you know their current status. Check their Facebook pages or websites for additional information and any specials.

Heritage 485

  • 485 Main Street
  • Prince Frederick, MD
  • 443-968-8338

Chef/Owner Mike Benson is continuing to make amazing, interesting, elevated cuisine. He uses locally-sourced products to bring fresh flavors to his creations. The seasonal menu is out now, and it has some delectable dishes. One I need to try is House-made Crackers with Pimiento Goat Cheese Dip!

Heritage 485 offers outdoor (porch and tent) dining, indoor dining, curbside, carryout, and delivery. Call 443-968-8338 for ordering, call-ahead seating, and reservations.

Heritage 485 is open Wednesday through Saturday 3:00pm to 7:00pm and Sunday 3:00pm to 8:00pm. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Look at their Facebook page and website for additional information.

Hook & Vine – Kitchen and Bar

  • 4114 7thStreet
  • North Beach, MD
  • 443-964-5488

One of my newest favorite restaurants is Hook & Vine – Kitchen and Bar. Monica and Kevin Phillips are bringing a great culinary experience to North Beach. They dreamed of opening a restaurant where they could share their love of food and drinks. They have succeeded! The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable and their food is fabulous! They describe their food and drink philosophy as “Southern coastal cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood, bacon, bourbon, and wine. Menu inspired by the community – choose a new favorite dish each visit. Local beer on tap; delicious cocktails; and not your average wine list”. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with bacon, bourbon, and wine!!

They offer weekly specials and are now serving Sunday Brunch (10:00am – 2:00pm). There is a brunch dish I must try…PBLT (Pork Belly, Lettuce, and Tomato on toasted brioche. Another must have is a recent weekly special…Bacon Bourbon Salmon…yum!

The have outside and inside dining (call for reservations), and curbside pickup (call or order online).

Hook & Vine is open Monday through Friday 11:30am to 10:00pm, Saturday 11:30am to 9:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 10:00pm (Brunch 10:00am to 2:00pm). See their daily and weekly specials, and their special events and offerings on the Facebook page and website.
