Governor Hogan announces next steps of Phase Two; indoor dining, Amusements

Annapolis, MD- Governor Larry Hogan announced at a 5 pm. press conference that Maryland was ready to move onto Step Two of Phase Two.

Hogan announced that on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 5 p.m.:

  • Indoor Dining at 50% capacity, with social distancing guidelines and strict health requirements
  • Outdoor Amusements(Go-karts, Mini-Golf, etc.) at 50% capacity with requirements
  • Outdoor Graduations with guidelines

On Friday, June 19, 2020 at 5 p.m.

  • Indoor Gyms
  • Fitness/Dance Studios
  • Casinos
  • Arcades
  • Malls

All of these will have strict guidelines and Fran Phillips, Maryland Deputy Health Secretary said the Health Department will be sending out guidelines to all affected businesses over the next couple of days to prepare them for the expanded reopening.

Dr. Karen Salmon announced schools will be allowed to reopen for small groups of children for Summer Schools and students with disabilities.

All childcare providers may reopen following guidelines.
