Our Monday Spotlight is shining brightly on local photographer Beth Graeme!

We are so fortunate to have artists like Beth working here in our community! Along with her radiating smile she brings a high level of commitment to her profession and her many projects, a limitless amount of energy, and a dedication to helping others through her multi-faceted volunteer work.

We came across one of her latest endeavors on Instagram called “The Front Porch Project”, originally started in late March by a husband and wife team at Greer Cicarelli Photography, in which they used a long-focus lens to take photos of people on their front porch in various “Stay At Home” expressions. Each photoshoot was done relatively quickly and for free, with photos associated with this movement created and shared all over the world! This concept has provided a sense of normalcy to the families, encouraged people to get outside for some fresh air, put clothes (of various attires!) on, and feel special, even just for a little while. See “The Tiger King Family” and more fun photos by Beth on Instagram @bgphotohello (#FrontPorchProject).

A little bit about our featured artist – Mrs. Graeme has 20+ years of experience behind the lens including 7 professionally. Beth specializes in real estate photography, high school senior pictures, headshots, weddings, special events, family portraits, and so much more.  After serving in the U.S. Navy, Beth attended the Academy of Art University and through much hard work and due diligence is now one of the most recognized photographers of our area. In 2019, she became one of only five members in the Southern Maryland region to earn the coveted designation of Certified Professional Photographer.

Ms. Graeme is an active member of the Professional Photographers Association, Southern Maryland Association of Realtors Affiliate, Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Chambers of Commerce, and Women to Women. She is the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Dream Queen Foundation, is also a Networking Leader for the Dream Queen Association, and is a Dream Queen Gals Lead Teen Club Facilitator at Leonardtown High School.

Shine on Beth Graeme, thank you for sharing your talents and gifts with others during these difficult times!
