Three Notch Road reopened after T-bone crash in Hollywood

At approximately 12:30 p.m. Station 7 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with a reported person trapped. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, and Chief 7A responded shortly after dispatch with 10 Volunteers.

Chief 7A was first to arrive, finding a two-vehicle T-bone style collision with one trapped. Rescue Squad 7 arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicle while the Engine stretched a protection line.

The Rescue Squad crew removed the driver’s door to free the trapped occupant utilizing the HURST Rescue Tools. The patient was transported by EMS to the hospital.

Chief 7A held the Command and units returned to service a short time later.

UPDATE 1:08 p..m. Three Notch Road is reopened per the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Hollywood, MD- The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office has shut down southbound Three Notch Road between Tom Hodges Drive and Mervell Dean Road for a serious motor vehicle crash.

This is a developing story. Watch for emergency vehicles and personnel. Expect extensive delays in the area.
