North Beach News for December 6, 2019

News Release, Town of North Beach

Holiday Open House

Join us for a Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 5-7 pm at Town Hall.

2019 Christmas on the Beach

The NORTH BEACH CHRISTMAS MARKET will be this Saturday, December 7th, 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm on 5th Street near the boardwalk.

The Annual Pat Carpenter Holiday Parade is the same day beginning at noon.  This festive parade draws spectators from afar!  The boardwalk is lined with hundreds of people viewing the parade.  The best part is when the jolly-old-fat man arrives by fire truck!  Santa and Mrs. Claus visit with children and give them a special treat.

Tell the kids to bring their wish list to share with Santa!  Warm-up around the campfire as you roast marshmallows.

Water Disconnect Notification for Unpaid Accounts

If you have paid your water bill or have made previous arrangements disregard this notice. Water disconnect notices have been sent out to unpaid accounts.

Accounts must be paid in full by 3 pm on December 16, 2019, to avoid being disconnected.  If your water is turned off, you will need to pay your account IN FULL before service is restored.  A $40.00 restoration fee will be assessed on all accounts subject to turn off.  Please pay with a debit/credit card or a money order.

A $2.00 fee for all credit/debit transactions will be added.  In addition, payments made after 3 pm will not have service restored until the following business day.

You may pay online, by phone or in person at the Town Hall.

Winter Readiness

As temperatures dip and winter approaches, staying warm and safe can be a challenge. Winter storms can bring cold temperatures, power failures, and icy roads. To keep yourself and your loved ones safe, you should know how to prepare your home and your car before a winter storm hits.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account. If you have any questions regarding this you can email me at davidhiggins@southernmarylandchronicle.com

Thank you for all of your support and I hope to continue bringing Southern Maryland the best news possible for a very long time. — David M. Higgins II
