Disorderly Conduct/Hindering/Fail to Obey Lawful Order- On November 17, 2019, Dep. Luffey responded to the 22800 block of Three Notch Road in California, for the reported disturbance. Contact was made with Bryan Allen Roberts, age 32 of Lexington Park, who was on scene yelling and his conduct was hindering the investigation. Roberts was told numerous times to cease his actions, however, he attempted to yell at witnesses and continually interrupted the investigation. Roberts’ continued behavior interrupted hotel guests and caused guests to leave their rooms to observe his actions. Roberts was placed under arrest and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing and Hindering an Investigation, and Fail to Obey a Reasonable/Lawful Order. CASE# 65999-19
Violate Protective Order- On November 17, 2019, Dep. Luffey responded to the 23000 block of Gunston Drive in California, for the reported protective order violation. The investigation determined David Carroll Gass, age 59 of California, had violated a current court order by contacting the victim which is prohibited by the order. Once arrested, a suspected glass CDS smoking device was located in Gass’ jacket pocket. Gass was charged with Violate a Protective Order and CDS: Possession-Paraphernalia. CASE# 65580-19
Drug Arrest– On November 20, 2019, Cpl. Pesante responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown, for the reported CDS violation. The investigation determined Nathan Lee Davis, age 28 of Lusby, was housed in a cell located in the booking area of the facility when he was found in possession of a hand-rolled cigarette containing suspected synthetic marijuana. Davis was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession-Paraphernalia, and Possession of Contraband in Place of Confinement. CASE# 66272-19
False Statement/Trespassing/Property Destruction- On November 21, 2019, Dep. Luffey responded to 45400 block of Miramar Way in California, for the reported property destruction. The investigation determined two vehicles had been damaged (keyed) in the parking lot of Walmart. A description was provided of a suspect, and Michael Tyree Mitchell, age 37 of Lexington Park, was located nearby. Mitchell matched the suspect description and he provided deputies with a false name. Through the investigation, he was positively identified as the suspect and it was also determined Mitchell had previously been served a notice not to trespass on the Walmart property. It was also determined Mitchell had damaged other vehicles parked in nearby parking lots. Mitchell was arrested and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property, False Statement to Peace Officer, and Trespass: Private Property. CASE# 66513-19
Assault- On November 21, 2019, Dep. Chase responded to the 21600 block of Enterprise Road in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. The investigation determined Earl Dean Thomas, age 74 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by punching the victim while the two were in an argument. Thomas was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 66491-19
Property Destruction- On November 22, 2019, Dep. Wynnyk responded to the 23300 block of Holly Hill Lane in California, for the reported suspicious person. The investigation determined George Frederick Brauer, age 53 of California, who was located in the area, had entered at least two vehicles and broke a rear window to one victim’s vehicle. Brauer was arrested and charged with two counts of Rogue and Vagabond and Malicious Destruction of Property. CASE# 66863-19
Violate Protective Order- On November 23, 2019, Dep. Wimberly responded to the 23000 block of Gunston Drive in California, for the reported protective order violation. The investigation determined David Carroll Gass, age 59 of California, had violated a current court order by contacting the victim which is prohibited by the order. Assault First/Second Degree/Reckless Endangerment- On November 23, 2019, Cpl. Beishline made contact with the victim who advised of an assault that occurred in the 20000 block of Rosslare Court in Lexington Park. The investigation determined Michael Andrea Johnson, age 38 of Lexington Park, had assaulted the victim by cutting the victim’s hand with a knife and threatening to kill the victim during an argument requiring the victim to obtain medical attention for the injury. Johnson was arrested and charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment. CASE# 66888-19
Assault First/Second Degree/Reckless Endangerment- On November 24, 2019, Cpl. Beishline responded to the 46500 block of Dennis Point Way in Drayden, for the reported assault. The investigation determined James Allen Spencer Jr., age 23 of Drayden assaulted the victim by throwing the victim to the ground and strangling the victim causing bruising and another visible injury to the victim’s neck. Spencer then punched the victim repeatedly and dragged the victim throughout the residence causing visible injury to the victim’s face. Spencer was arrested and charged with Assault 1st and 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment. CASE# 67180-19
Assault- On November 24, 2019, DFC. Budd responded to the 47600 block of College Drive in St. Mary’s City, for a possible assault. The investigation determined Corey James Squibb, age 18 of Greenbelt, had assaulted two victims by punching both victims in the face, causing visible injury. Squibb was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. CASE# 67077-19
Assault- On November 25, 2019, Dep. Forinash responded to the 21400 block of Prather Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. The investigation determined Karen Louise Ferriter, age 50 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim by punching the victim in the face several times during an argument, causing visible injury to the victim. Ferriter was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree.
The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.
To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
