Seahawks Sit in Sixth After Day One of Randolph-Macon Invitational

CHESTERFIELD, Va. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s swimming team (1-5) sits in sixth place after the first day of competition at the Randolph-Macon Invitational. 

St. Mary’s College – 6th of 12 (466 pts)

How It Happened

  • The quartet of Brenna LitynskiChristina TrnkusLeila McCloskey, and Carolyn Sutton earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay to begin the meet with a time of 1:40.98.
  • Litynski captured a runner-up finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 24.47. Litynski followed her performance with another impressive showing in the 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing second with a time of 1:58.80.
  • The team of SuttonBailey EdgrenTrnkus, and Litynski recorded a top-five finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing fifth with a time of 1:53.41.
