Calvert Sheriff’s Incident Briefs for November 20, 2019

Incident briefs are courtesy of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

During the week of November 11 – November 17 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,532 calls for service throughout the community.

Tampering: 19-66043

On November 13, 2019, Deputy R. Shrawder responded to Dowell Road in Solomons for the report of motor vehicle tampering. The complainant advised that they drove to work at 11:30 pm and when they left work in the morning, the gas cap on their vehicle was open. It does not appear any gas was missing.

On November 14, 2019, Deputy Evans responded to Bayberry Crossing in Owings for the report of a theft. The complainant advised that they checked on their vehicles parked in their driveway and discovered that one of the vehicles had been tampered with. The complainant advised that the contents of the center console were scattered along the floorboards, but it does not appear any items were stolen.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public.
