Got Leaves? Head to Sneade’s!
Fall means beautiful foliage, but with this comes falling leaves. Please bag or haul away all leaves and yard debris. We are asking you, as a town resident, to do your part in keeping the leaves off the streets and out of the storm drain collection system. This will ensure proper water flow and will prevent the need for difficult and costly removal of this material from the drains. We ask that you bag the leaves you collect in paper leaf bags and set them out with your regular trash. The trash contractor will collect regular trash first and then leaf bags. If there are more than 5 bags, the contractor will have to get them at a later time.
We are excited to announce that our friends at Sneade’s Ace Hardware have a special offer for the Town of North Beach residents! Now through December 31, 2019, town residents may purchase the 5-pack of 30 Gallon Lawn and Leaf bags at a 10% discount! The brown paper leaf bags are better for the environment because they compost, unlike plastic bags. To take advantage of this discount, you must show your photo ID with the address showing zip code 20714. Thank you, Sneade’s Ace Hardware, for partnering with the town on promoting environmental-friendly practices!
The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.
To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account. If you have any questions regarding this you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for all of your support and I hope to continue bringing Southern Maryland the best news possible for a very long time. — David M. Higgins II
