UPDATE 7:09 a.m.- The roadway is now reopened per SMCSO.
Hollywood, MD- The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and area Emergency units are responding to a crash on Route 235 near Joy Lane. The crash is reported to be a school bus and vehicle.
A reader of The Chronicle states the vehicle is under the back end of the bus. They also state no traffic is moving at 6:50 a.m. NorthboundThree Notch Rd in the area of Joy Ln in Hollywood will be shut down temporarily per the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Watch for responding emergency vehicles and personnel. Expect delays in the area.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
