Sutliff Selected to All-CAC Second Team

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Junior Ellyse Sutliff landed on the 2019 All-Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Team, the league announced today (Nov. 7). Sutliff garnered a second-team All-CAC selection for her first-ever postseason award.

Sutliff notched nine matches with double-digit kills, including a career-high 18 against Salisbury on Oct. 19. Sutliff also recorded 17 kills against both Wilson College and the University of Mary Washington. 

She was seventh in the conference with 2.53 kills per set while ranking ninth overall with 225 total kills. Sutliff also added a defensive presence to the team as she averaged 1.56 digs per set.

On Nov. 2, Sutliff collected her 500th career dig at McDaniel College. The junior finished her year with 510 career kills in 63 matches (225 sets) played. She has also added 124 assists, 101  blocks, 230 digs, and 20 service aces.

St. Mary’s College finished this season with a 5-23 (0-11 CAC) overall record and were the No. 6 seed in the 2019 CAC Women’s Volleyball Championship Tournament.
