Coming to Netflix in November 2019

By: Eric Kain, Forbes

The spooky Halloween season is almost upon us, which means November is just around the corner. That means colder weather, the last remaining leaves falling, and the arrival of Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

It also means another long list of new TV shows, movies and Netflix Originals headed to Netflix next month. And what a month it is!

For lovers of all things Christmas, Netflix has plenty of original content that should spice things up–I love It’s A Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street as much as anyone, but it’s nice to have some new Christmas movies every now and again.

Some of the holiday-themed content coming next month includes Klaus, a new Netflix Film starring Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons and Rashida Jones. The animated film is about the postal academy’s worst student, Jesper (Schwartzman) who is sent to an isolated frozen island above the Arctic Circle where he meets a mysterious carpenter named Klaus. Also stars Joan Cusack, Will Sasso and Norm Macdonald. Klaus lands on November 15th.Today In: Innovation

There’s also The Knight Before Christmas, which sounds like a reverse of A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court, about a knight magically transported to modern-day Ohio during the Christmas season. That comes to Netflix on November 21st.

Some of the big highlights of the month include The King, starring Timothee Chalamet as Henry V, Joel Edgerton as Falstaff and Robert Pattinson as the Dauphin (pictured above). It’s a movie about political intrigue and medieval warfare that looks quite entertaining for those of us who love this kind of thing. The Netflix Film lands on November 1st.

There’s also the big Robert De Niro/Al Pacino/Joe Pesci ensemble mobster movie The Irishman to look forward to on November 27th. It’s a story about infamous mob boss Jimmy Hoffa from acclaimed director Martin Scorsese, and the first all-star-cast mafia flick that’s come out in a very long time. It’s also three-and-a-half hours long, so buckle up.

Finally, I’m absolutely thrilled that the third season of the animated show The Dragon Prince is finally coming to Netflix on November 22nd. The story of Callum, Rayla, and Ezran as they navigate the politics of magical elves and dastardly mages is just so good I’m always sad that each season is just 9 episodes. If you enjoyed Avatar: The Last Airbender you’ll enjoy this show as well. Fun for all ages.

Okay, on to the big list. There’s lots more on here than I mentioned, including a bunch of non-Netflix content like The Matrix and Zombieland. Check it out:

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account. If you have any questions regarding this you can email me at davidhiggins@southernmarylandchronicle.com

Thank you for all of your support and I hope to continue bringing Southern Maryland the best news possible for a very long time. — David M. Higgins II
