Maldonado-Munoz Runs Personal Best at Hood College Open

FreshmanNathan Maldonado-Munozrepresented the College of Southern Maryland men’s cross country team well at the Hood College Open on October 19, recording the team’s fastest 8K race time this season.

Maldonado-Munoz placed 111th out of 146 runners in the men’s 8K meet at Frederick, Md., but it was a personal victory for him as he crossed the finish line in 34:21.9, the fastest time of his career running for CSM. His previous best was 34:28.5, which he ran at the Cardinal Classic on September 14.

“You could tell Nate was going to get a good time just by how relaxed he was running and how aggressive he was on the hills,” CSM head coach Ken Killion said.

The Hawks’ next race will be the Region XX meet on October 26.
