Calvert Sheriff’s Incident Briefs for October 16, 2019

Incident Briefs and Mugshots are provided courtesy of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

During the week of October 7 – October 13 deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,330 calls for service throughout the community.

Burglary: 19-59003

On October 9, 2019 Deputy Evans responded to Hill Top Drive in Port Republic for the report of a burglary. The complainant advised sometime between 11:00am and 6:00pm an unknown suspect(s) broke into their basement and stole multiple items. The value of stolen property is $9,000.

Theft: 19-58963

On October 9, 2019 Deputy Lewis responded to Willow Way in Prince Frederick for the report of a theft. The complainant advised that sometime between 7:30pm on October 8th and 8:00am on October 9th an unknown suspect(s) stole change from their vehicle and items from the center console were on the passenger seat. The value of stolen property is $2.

Theft: 19-58975

On October 9, 2019 Deputy Lewis responded to the Sheriff’s Office for the report of a theft. The complainant advised that sometime between 8:30pm on October 8th and 7:00am on October 9th an unknown suspect(s) entered their vehicle at their home on Foxtail Lane and stole money they had inside. The value of stolen property is $120.

Theft: 19-58992

On October 9, 2019 Deputy Parks responded to Willow Way in Prince Frederick for the report of a theft. The complainant advised that their SUV had been gone through overnight and the contents of the center console were out on the driver seat, and a Target gift card was missing. The value of stolen property is $50.


The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
