Dunkirk, MD- On October 8, 2019, at approximately 6:15 p.m. the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department(DVFD) was clearing an accident scene on Route 4 when they were sent to another motor vehicle crash on Route 4 and Mt. Harmony Road.

DVFD sent three units; Squad 5, Engine 52 and Ambulance 59, and discovered a two-car motor vehicle crash with the driver pinned and unconscious.

A MEDEVAC was called in. While en route to the landing zone at Fairview Library, units worked to carefully remove the victim. After removing the victim, they were flown to an area trauma center.

At this time we do not have any updates on the status of the victim and will bring you that only if released by officials.
