The Mayor, and Town Council, welcomes L. Charles Fink to the Chesapeake Beach Town Council

News Release, Town of Chesapeake Beach

Chesapeake Beach, MD- Charlie Fink and his wife, Anne, have owned a home in Chesapeake Beach for nine years and have been active in the community since their arrival, sharing interests in Town, local events and the health of the Bay and the great community of friends they have met here.

?Mr. Fink has served the Town in the following capacities:

  • As a Member of the Planning and Zoning Committee for three years, and was elected as Vice-Chair in 2018.
  • As a Member of the Walkable Community Committee for over two years.
  • As the President of Seagate Homeowner Association for seven years.

In his professional career, Mr. Fink has over 25 years of professional experience in business-focused software development and project management. Mr. Fink currently serves as a Senior Systems Software Architect for the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC.

Mr. Fink is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Political Science and has completed graduate work towards a Masters in Computer Science at Marymount University.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account.
