UPDATE 11:52 a.m. 9/16/2019- Per Captian David Payne of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office the accident is being handled by Maryland State Police-Prince Frederick Barracks. However, he does tell The Southern Maryland Chronicle that the accident involved a dump truck and overhead lines.

We have reached out to Comcast to get a statement and they are refusing to give the Chronicle the contact information on who to speak with officially.

We have sent a message to the Maryland State Police-Prince Frederick Barracks asking for more information and have yet to receive a response. We will update once we have that info.

Sarah Ehman, of the Calvert County Public Information Office has told the Chronicle that the road is now opened in both directions and she will get us more information as soon as can.
