Public Hearing Set for Preliminary 2020 State Legislative Package Proposals on Sept. 10

La Plata, MD- The Charles County Commissioners have scheduled the Preliminary 2020 State Legislative Package public hearing for Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Charles County Government Building (200 Baltimore Street, La Plata).

Twenty-four proposals have been submitted and are available for viewing.  Visit  www.boarddocs.com/md/chrlsco/Board.nsf/Public, then click on “Library” in the upper right-hand corner, and then “General” to view synopsis and link for the full submission of each proposal.  The public is welcome to attend and offer testimony in support of or opposition to each proposal.

A work session has been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24 to determine which proposals to include in the Charles County Commissioners 2020 State Legislative Package for the Charles County Delegation’s consideration.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account.
