Violation of Probation lands St. Mary’s man with 10 years in prison

Leonardtown, MD- The St. Mary’s County States’ Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday, that Michael Johnathan Kline(3/14/93) was sentenced to ten(10) years in prison for violating the conditions of his probation.

Mr. Kline was on probation stemming from a 2015 Burglary case n which he plead guilty to First Degree Burglary and had the charges of third-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, theft-less than $1,000 and malicious destruction of property-less than $1000 all were nolle prosequi. This means that they were put off to the side while Mr. Kline completed his probation, and if he violated could be brought back against him.

Mr. Kline was arrested on July 15, 2018, for 2nd Degree Escape, May 18, 2018, for Violation of Probation and January 11, 2019, for Violation of Probation. The underlying burglary cases and the subsequent violations of probation were handled by Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Jaymi Sterling.
