Benedict, MD- The First Annual Sunflower Festival has been announced for Serenity Farm.
The event will take place on August 31, and September 1, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The cost is $5.00 per car and visitors will be able to pick their own bunches of sunflowers for $5.00 or $15 for a pre-cut Festival Flower Bag.
There will be free music, hayrides, a petting pen, and a sunflower art show. In the Harvest House, there will also be food and drink available for purchase.
They remind everyone that no outside food is allowed and dogs may join in the fun as long as they are leashed.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
