August 20, 6:00 pm — Twin Beach Opioid Abuse Awareness Committee Meeting at Chesapeake Beach Town Hall — Public business meeting of the TBOAA Committee.  For more information about the committee and our past activities, click here and click here.

North Beach VFD Auxiliary’s Yard Sale will be held from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm on every 2nd Saturday of the month from April to October. Please contact Diana after 5:00 pm, at 410/231-1775 to reserve a table.

Red Cross Blood Drive.  The Knights of Columbus Calvert Council 7870 is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Anthony’s Church Padua Hall on August 19, from 1:00-7:00 pm.  Recommend registering for an appointment by clicking here.  (Sponsor: St Anthony’s Church, 8816 Chesapeake Ave, North Beach).

August 3 Noon to 4 PM – Annual Free Old-Fashioned Church Picnic at Union Church in North Beach.  Bar-b-que and many many picnic favorites!  Music, Moon bounce, Corn Hole,  and many other fun activities for the young and young at heart!  It’s all FREE!   This event is offered with the compliments of the Congregation.   The Church is located next to the Town Hall at 8912 Chesapeake Avenue.  Questions may be directed to (410)257-3555. http://www.facebook.com/NBUnionChurch.  Everyone is welcome. August 6 –  Come out to the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department on August 6, 2019, from 6 to 9 pm for the 2019 National Night Out! Free family fun!

AUGUST 10 – COUNTRY DANCE.  For a fun time, come to the Country Dance in the upper-level Ballroom at the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach.  If you can’t dance, teachers will be available to give free instruction.  One hour lessons commence at 7:00 p.m. followed by dancing to the tunes of the Southern Winds Band. from 8:00 p.m. until 11:30. The modest price of $15.00 per person includes fountain soft drinks or draft beer, pretzels, and chips.  Public Welcome.   For information call 410-257-9878. August 16– Karaoke at the American Legion –  Join us for a good time from 8:00 p.m. to midnight.  at the American Legion Stallings Williams Post 206 in the Lower Level Lounge. Last Moonlight Cruise this year is Saturday, August 24th at 7 PM. Subtle rock and pop as well as country music by local artist Ross Crampton. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.

October 2-9 the EDNA E. LOCKWOOD heritage tour. See the last sailing bugeye oyster boat at the Rod  ‘N’ Reel marina. Up to 1-hour tours to learn about ship restoration and early oyster harvesting. Great photo opportunity for the whole family.  For more information, click here.
