Cpl. Harris retires from St. Mary’s County Sheriff Office; honored by staff and Commissioners

The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County and members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office congratulated Cpl. Douglas Harris on Tuesday for his retirement on July 1.

Harris began his career with the Sheriff’s Office on June 11, 1999, as a Correctional Officer and became a Deputy Sheriff in 2006, reaching the rank of Corporal in 2013. Harris will be rejoining the Sheriff’s Office later this summer as a civilian.
