* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern St. Marys County in southern Maryland… Calvert County in southern Maryland… Southeastern Prince Georges County in central Maryland… Northeastern Charles County in southern Maryland…

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 633 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Dunkirk to near Golden Beach, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damaged homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
