Clinton Retailer Sells $50,000 Winning Bonus Match 5 Ticket

News Release, Maryland Lottery

Lucky ticket sold in April 23 drawing

Happy winning Wednesday, Bonus Match 5 players, especially if you are the lucky player holding a $50,000 top-prize ticket from the Tuesday, April 23 drawing. Lottery luck was delivered on a ticket sold at Shoppers #2342 in Clinton.

The winning ticket matches the five numbers of 1, 2, 10, 21 and 36; the Bonus Ball was 22. Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The winner has 182 days to claim the prize in person at Lottery headquarters, which is located at 1800 Washington Blvd. in Baltimore. This is our 16th top-prize winning Bonus Match 5ticket of 2019.

The Prince George’s County retailer also has reason to celebrate! The Lottery will give the store located at 6300 Coventry Way in Clinton a bonus of $500 for selling the lucky ticket.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from one to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account. If you have any questions regarding this you can email me at

Thank you for all of your support and I hope to continue bringing Southern Maryland the best news possible for a very long time. — David M. Higgins II
