8th Annual #TCCSMDGetHired Hiring Event & Apprenticeship Fair is set for April 30th!
“Jobs, Jobs, Jobs”! Uniting Community Talent with Local Opportunities!
Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland is excited to announce the area’s largest hiring event is back and this year we look forward to including our local Apprenticeship Programs! Happening Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, 24801 Three Notch Road, Hollywood, MD 20636 from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm.
This no-cost event is open to the public. Job seekers will have the opportunity to network with up to 65 hiring employers seeking individuals to fill their immediate openings. The Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, a proud partner of Southern Maryland JobSource, will bring together local businesses and our community’s skilled workforce to help businesses grow and positively impact Southern Maryland’s economic vitality. This hiring event will help local businesses find qualified job seekers in the community and assist our local residents in finding work closer to home.
Employers will be recruiting for positions in healthcare, information technology, cyber security, hospitality, customer service and retail, government, education, construction, transportation, law enforcement and more. The companies participating have current vacancies and are hiring for full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship positions!
Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland is a non-profit, committed to supporting the workforce needs of Charles, Calvert and St. Mary’s County. As a partner of Southern Maryland JobSource, working alongside Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR), they provide employment and training resources for area job seekers and businesses.

The 2019 “8th Annual #TCCSMDGetHired Hiring Event & Apprenticeship Fair” is an initiative made possible by funding from the Rural Maryland Council.
The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.
To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account.
