NOTE: Friday Morning the Town of Leonardtown noted that ALL OUTDOOR activities are cancelled due to the weather. Indoor activities are still planned.

Friday, April 5th, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Reduce, Reuse, Rescue First Friday hosted by the Leonardtown Business Association – check out all that the businesses of Leonardtown have to offer you and your pup (or cat)! A Dog Costume Contest will be held at 6:00 p.m. in Leonardtown Square (Large and Small breed categories) and face painting!

Color Me Green & Celebrate Spring event hosted by North End Gallery from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. North End’s April Show features their artists proclaiming Spring thru the meaning of Green at a First Friday reception 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.;

First Friday Leonardtown Drum Circle – Winter/ Spring 2018-2019 hosted by the St. Mary’s County Arts Council. Join the St. Mary’s Arts Council and SoMar Drummers for their free monthly audience participation Drum Circle! The SoMar Drummers will be hosting an open drum and rhythm circle, no experience required.

Product Photography event hosted by Beth Graeme Photography starting at 5:00 p.m. Learn lighting setup, styling, concepts, and more;

S’mores & Cigars : Our Port Release Party event. Join Port of Leonardtown Winery on the patio for a specialty pairing with The Toasted Foot Lounge and the release of their 2015 Port of Leonardtown.;

Wine & Design Open Studio event. Pick any painting off their wall and they’ll sketch it for you on the spot! 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (come between 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to have them create a sketch for you).

SATURDAY EVENTS & HAPPENINGS:

Saturday, April 6th, 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. – Rock Out for Autism 2019hosted by Olde Town Pub – The event features live music from Taboo, Unfinished Business SOMD, Spectrum, and HydraFX and a moon bounce, face painting and crafts for kids.

Saturday, April 6th, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Saturday Music at POLW – Bring a picnic, pack a blanket, and enjoy a glass of sangria while listening to live music!

AND FOR SUNDAY:

Sunday, April 7th, 10:00 a.m. – Brunch at The Front Porch – Sit down Brunch Service. Daily Food and Drink Specials.

Sunday, April 7th, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – PEEP Decorating! at Heritage Chocolates – It’s that time of year! Come out to Heritage Chocolates and dip those delicious PEEPS in chocolate and decorate to your heart’s content! This event is fun for the entire family.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account.
