Police investigating stabbing in Waldorf

UPDATE 4/2/2019 5:00 p.m.- The Southern Maryland Chronicle has spoken to the father of the female victim. He has said she has received some stitches and will be discharged. The Chronicle has reached out to Charles County Sheriff’s Office PIO, Diane Richardson who has informed us they will release more information when it becomes available.


Waldorf, MD- The Charles County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Maryland State Police are currently on the scene of a stabbing in Waldorf, MD.

Reports received say a male subject stabbed a female victim in the upper part of the body in the area of Acton Lane and Tawny Drive. Scanner reports say the scene is not completely secure and to shelter in place.

Police are currently looking for a 15-18 year old, light skinned, black male possibly wearing a grey striped shirt.

The female victim is currently being transported to an Trauma Center by MEDEVAC.
