Seahawks Fall to Cornell in Final Spring Break Match

News Release, St. Mary’s College of Maryland

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – St. Mary’s College of Maryland finished their Spring Break trip by falling to Cornell College by a final score of 5-4 on Thursday (Mar. 14) morning.

St. Mary’s – 4, Cornell – 5


  • The Seahawks won two of three doubles matches. The tandem of Ron Stith and Sam Sheats defeated Tom Greene and Drew Arnold by a score of 8-3 at the No. 2 spot.
  • At No. 3 doubles, the duo of Jack Brandenburg and Jacob Bartholow took out Nick Adamou and Connor Schanen by a final score of 8-3.


  • In singles action, Sheats earned a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Drew Arnoldat the four spot. In addition, Brandenburg defeated Adamou 6-4, 6-2.
