HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The St. Mary’s College of Maryland women’s tennis team began their spring break trip in South Carolina by taking on the Purple Raiders of the University of Mount Union.

St. Mary’s – 0, Mount Union – 9

Doubles –

  • Claire Bodine and Alden Grosh teamed up to play in the number one doubles spot and took two games but fell 8-2 to the Purple Raiders top team.

Singles –

  • Hallie Hershey took on Mount Union’s number two player in Jordan Teaford and battled for a total of four games but lost 6-2, 6-2.
  • Jackie Agyemang started her spring break trip by winning three games in her match against Sierra Beighey but fell 6-3, 6-0.
