St. Mary’s Sheriff’s arrests for March 2, 2019

Drug Arrest-  On February 20, 2019, subsequent to a search and seizure warrant executed by the Narcotics Division, Joseph Anthony Scriber, age 50 of Mechanicsville, was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine and a suspected CDS smoking device.

Scriber was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession- Paraphernalia.  CASE# 07763-19

Drug Arrest-  On February 21, 2019, Cpl. Kerby responded to 23110 block of Leonard Hall Drive in Leonardtown, for a warrant service.  Joseph Gerard Denaro, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the charge of FTA/Violate Protective Order.

Denaro was taken into custody and discovered to have suspected amphetamine pills on his person.  Denaro was served the outstanding warrant and charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.  CASE# 10857-19

Property Destruction-  On February 23, 2019, DFC. Molitor responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center for the reported property destruction.  Investigation determined Donovan Warren Woody, age 31 of Lexington Park, intentionally damaged a sprinkler in the cell, causing minor flooding to the cell and holding area.

Woody was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property.  CASE# 11204-19

Trespassing-  On February 23, 2019, Cpl. Foor responded to the 21600 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported trespassing.  Cpl. Foor arrived on scene and was notified by the complainant Ricky Ray Adkins, age 60 with no fixed address, refused to leave the business after being told to do so, and continued to watch television.

Cpl. Foor observed Adkins on scene watching television; Adkins was previously served a notice not to trespass for the business.  Adkins was arrested and charged with Trespass: Private Property.  CASE# 11295-19

Assault-  On February 24, 2019, Cpl. Foor responded to the 48000 block of Windward Circle in Lexington Park, for the reported assault.  Investigation determined Sharmayne Danae Heigh, age 23 of Lexington Park, assaulted the two victims during an argument by punching both victims, causing injury.

Heigh was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd Degree.  CASE# 11422-19

Theft-  On February 25, 2019, DFC. Ball responded to the 23800 block of Colton Point Road in Clements for a reported burglary to motor vehicle  in progress.  Investigation determined Donald Lee Canter, age 62 of Avenue, entered the victim’s vehicle, and removed property.

The victim arrived on scene and identified property in Canter’s vehicle as property belonging to the victim. Canter was arrested and charged with Rogue and Vagabond, and Theft.  CASE# 11637-19

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.
