NOTICE: The Rod and Reel parking garage project has reached a point where they will be bringing in a large crane to erect large precast concrete beams and structures. This work is Starting February 15th and continuing for 8 to 10 weeks. This will create a flagging operation on Mears Avenue as the trucks arrive and leave. There are no permanent lane closures’ scheduled. The contractor will be using flag men to stop traffic to let the trucks in and out of the project due to their size. As the contractor provides details we will continue to relay the information to residents.
 

SAVE THE DATE! Join us in celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Chesapeake Beach. A celebration will be held at Town Hall on April 6 from 4:00-6:00 pm.  More information to follow.

February 19 from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Northeast Community Center- Droning On and On – A co-piloted event with the Calvert Library Twin Beaches Branch. Get ready for some aerial fun learning how to fly a small drone.
 

February 19 at 6:00 pm – Twin Beach Opioid Abuse Awareness Coalition Meeting at Chesapeake Beach Town Hall — Business meeting of the TBOAA Committee. The public is invited to attend. If you have been affected by the opioid crisis, we want to hear your story or your ideas on how we can better help those suffering from addiction in our community. February 19  – STEAK DINNER.  Particular about your Steak? February 22 – CHEF’S CHOICE DINNER.  This informal dinner is hosted by the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206(Venturing Crew 429) from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.  Come to the lower level dining room for a meal you won’t soon forget.  Cost is $12 including side, salad, and beverage.  The Post is at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road E on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach and questions may be directed to (410)257-9878.   Public Welcome.  HTTP://www.ALpost206.org
 

February 23  – MOTOWN NIGHT.   What’s your favorite tune?  The Sons of the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 will host a night with music by DJ Stephen Varney beginning at 8:00 p.m. until midnight. March 16th from 8 am-12 pm- Community Shredding Event – Ger ready for Spring, and get rid of old paperwork! The Town of Chesapeake Beach, Town of North Beach and the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department are holding a Community Shredding Event at the North Beach Fire Department. This is a resident-only event.  More information to follow.
