NOTICE from our Ladies of Charity Food Pantry: Our hope is to serve those in need, recognizing that some of those in need right now may not have considered visiting a food pantry before.  We will welcome any furloughed workers during our regular Pantry hours or attempt to make arrangements outside of regular hours to serve those in crisis right now.  Are you IMPACTED BY THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN?  Will a few free groceries help you stretch your dwindling dollars during this time of not receiving a paycheck?  The Ladies of Charity Food Pantry (8823 Dayton Avenue in North Beach) are here to help you through such emergency situations.  Our regular Pantry hours are every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2 PM.  Clients receive food regardless of income.  Please call us at (410) 286-7086 if you are unable to be served during our regular Pantry hours.
 

Tuesdays – Bingo at the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department. $1000 jackpot. Admission is $8.00 per person.  Doors open at 5 PM and Bingo starts at 7:30 PM. Food and drink will be available for purchase. For more information please call 301-855-0520.

February 2-3 @ the Northeast Community Center – CBOCS Community Mural 2.0  The community event of the winter is happening from 10 to 4 on February 2 and 3, 2019 in the Northeast Community Center. The main attraction is the second community mural painting by over 200 students from Beach Elementary. Other features include a petting zoo, a silent auction of paintings by “STUDENT” artists and a “Shark Tank” presentation by the Beach Elementary entrepreneur club mentored by seniors from Northern High School.  DON’T MISS THIS GREAT EVENT.

February 3 – FIRST SUNDAY BREAKFAST  8:30 am to 11 am in St. Anthony’s Parish Padua Hall and hosted by Knights of Columbus Calvert Council, #7870

February 5 – STEAK DINNER.  Particular about your Steak? February 9 – COUNTRY DANCE.  For a fun time, come to the American Legion Country Dance in the Upper Level Ballroom at the American Legion Stallings-Williams Post 206 at 3330 Chesapeake Beach Road E on Route 260 in Chesapeake Beach.  If you can’t dance, teachers will be available to give lessons..  One-hour lessons commence at 7:00 p.m. followed by dancing from 8:00. until 11:30 p.m…  The Modest price of $15.00 per person includes soft drinks or draft beer and light munchies.   Open to All.
