$50,000 Powerball winner bought in Mechanicsville still unclaimed

News Release, Maryland Lottery

Big wins came in August 2018

Who has two $50,000 winning Powerball tickets from the Aug. 11 and Aug. 25 drawings? Hurry and claim your prizes at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore because the winning tickets expire in February.

To win $50,000, a player must match four numbers and the Powerball. The two tickets, which won during the Aug. 11 and Aug. 25 drawings, expire on Feb. 9 and Feb. 23, respectively.

A player bought the Aug. 11 winning ticket on the day of the drawing at Burchmart #1 located at 27350 Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville. The winning numbers for that drawing were 5, 43, 56, 62 and 68; the Powerball was 24.

A player bought the Aug. 25 ticket on Aug. 24 at Giant #141 located at 7940 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. The winning numbers for that drawing were 20, 25, 54, 57 and 63; the Powerball was 8.

Winners should sign the back of their tickets and bring them, with required identification (listed at mdlottery.com/winners/how-to-claim), to the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community. For now, donations will be going to a business PayPal account I have set-up for the Southern Maryland Chronicle, KDC Designs. All business transactions currently occur within this PayPal account. If you have any questions regarding this you can email me at davidhiggins@southernmarylandchronicle.com

Thank you for all of your support and I hope to continue bringing Southern Maryland the best news possible for a very long time. — David M. Higgins II
