Police search for two suspects in armed robberies in Clinton, MD

UPDATE 7:51 a.m.- 2300 & 2400 Block of Cheverly Avenue closed to all foot and vehicle traffic. No foot traffic permitted to Cheverly Metro Station from Cheverly Avenue

K-9 has been deployed.

Police are searching the area of Lake Avenue and Valley Way for 2 armed subjects wanted in connection with several armed robberies that occurred early this morning near Clinton, MD. The subjects are wanted by Prince George’s County Police.

The first is perceived as a short black male in all black clothing with short hair.

The second as 6’00 tall, medium length dread locks, dressed in red and white.

If you see anyone in this area acting suspicious and matching this description, please dial 911 immediately. Again, these subjects are believed to be armed.

In addition, Columbia Park Road and Tuxedo Road are closed to vehicle traffic as the search continues.
