Indian Head MWR Updates for August 31, 2018

We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! Come and stay cool at the pool before it closes! The MWR Pool will be closing on Monday, Sept. 3 for the off-season.

The hours for Friday-Monday are 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

Roll into the new school year with Stars & Strikes! Kids ages 5-18 and enrolled in school will get one FREE game of bowling! *open bowling rates apply

Tuesday, Sept.4 at 11 a.m.| Weight House Fitness Center

Celebrate the end of summer with the Labor Day 5K! This is free for active-duty; $5 for all others. Register by 10:30 a.m. on race day.

Skate into September at the Community Recreation Center! Join us for some roller skating fun and light refreshments. Cost: $5.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. We must also be able to pay employees(part-time and full-time), along with equipment, and website related things. We never want to make the Chronicle a “pay-wall” style news site.

To that end, we are looking to the community to offer donations. Whether it’s a one-time donation or you set up a reoccurring monthly donation. It is all appreciated. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
