Sheriff’s Office seeks identities in two separate thefts

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the following three theft suspects.

On Monday, July 9, 2018, at 5 p.m. two suspects took a half gallon of liquor by hiding it in the female’s shoulder bag at the McKay’s Foodland store on Merchants Lane in Leonardtown. On Friday, July 13, 2018, at 1:10 p.m. the suspect pushed an air-conditioning unit in a shopping cart past all points of sale at the California Walmart store on Miramar Way without paying for it. The suspect then fled after being stopped by loss-prevention staff. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or this incident is asked to call Cpl. The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public.
