First Public Hearing Set for MD Solar 1 Project in Charles County

BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Public Service Commission will hold a public comment hearing on the application of MD Solar 1, LLC to construct a 32.5 MW solar generating facility in Charles County, Maryland. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 6860 Crain Highway in La Plata, Maryland. Members of the public who wish to provide input on the matter are welcome to attend the hearing before Public Utility Law Judge Jennifer J. Grace. A second public hearing will be held on May 3, 2018, at a time and location to be
determined.

According to the application, the solar facility will be constructed on approximately 249 acres of property at 4850 Shugart Valley Place in La Plata. Copies of the application are available for public inspection and copying at the Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management, 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
