New Nice Bridge Project  Online Presentation
BEGINNING JANUARY 18 –
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is providing an online presentation about the New Nice Bridge Project beginning Thursday, January 18, 2018. The new bridge will replace the current Harry W Nice Memorial Bridge over US 301 between Charles County, MD and King George County, VA. Construction will begin in early 2020, and the new bridge will be open to traffic in 2023.

The presentation will provide a brief summary of the project  including how the MDTA has worked to advance the project beyond the original  study phase, the project schedule, and what you can expect during construction  and after the new bridge opens.

The Southern Maryland Chronicle is a local, small business entrusted to provide factual, unbiased reporting to the Southern Maryland Community. While we look to local businesses for advertising, we hope to keep that cost as low as possible in order to attract even the smallest of local businesses and help them get out to the public. All donations at this time will be going to furthering the Chronicle through hiring individuals that have the same goals of providing fair, and unbiased news to the community.
